Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department 

Full-Time | 0.9 FTE (72 hour/pp) | 12-hour Varied (N/S/D) Shifts | Rotation Every 3rd Weekend plus Christmas 2026

How you will contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Cares for patients and administers medications in accordance with established best practices, competencies and training.

  • Accurately documents patient care given.

  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

  • Contributes to and assists in maintaining a pleasant patient environment in a safe and orderly manner.

  • Maintains the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Use and disclose only that information which is necessary to perform the function of the job.

  • When performing sitter duties: positions self to maintain constant visual observation of the patient to monitor their activity and behavior. Never leaves the patient alone or out of sight unless relieved by another designated staff member. Accurately and legibly records data collected and notify patient care team of any untoward events (behavioral changes, violent behavior, etc.).

  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

What we are looking for


Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred). 

Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support Certification

  • 1-Year Medical-Surgical Experience 

  • 1-year Emergency Department or Critical Care Experience (Preferred)

  • ACLS, PALS, TNCC (within 6 months of hire)

  • Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required
